Robert Half Staff Accountant in Whitewater, Wisconsin
Description
Located in the Whitewater, Wisconsin area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. If you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets, you will be preferred for this role.
This is a hybrid role after training, 2 days remote and 3 days in office.
What you get to do every day
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payrol
Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
