Robert Half Operations Manager in Whittier, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Operations Manager in the manufacturing industry, located in Whittier, California. The role involves providing leadership for the organization, reducing costs, improving shipment performance, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the company's goals are met. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization effectively, promoting a culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

• Implement lean practices to reduce costs, improve labor efficiency, and enhance product quality.

• Work closely with the operations team to improve complete and on-time shipment performance.

• Collaborate with HR to identify the skills and competencies required for job openings and assist in the recruitment process.

• Work with the Controller to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing to meet profit goals.

• Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and compliance with laws and regulations is maintained.

• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

• Support worker communication with the management team.

• Develop the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).

• Work with HR to manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.

• Ensure implementation of successful employee training programs, including new hire training.

• Conduct employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when necessary.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing operations management role

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services

• Comprehensive knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Familiarity with Management Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in using About Time software

• Proficiency in Budget Processes

• Understanding of Compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry

• Experience in providing excellent Customer Service

• Familiarity with Hiring Processes

• Knowledge of Cal OSHA regulations

• Experience in adhering to OSHA guidelines

• Understanding of Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) regulations.
