Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Wichita, Kansas

Description We are in search of a motivated and experienced individual to join our team in the manufacturing industry as a VP/Director of Finance, based in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves significant collaboration with the Commercial, Procurement, and Logistics teams, requiring the provision of robust financial business partnering for decision support and planning. This position will also be in charge of cash management, customer-to-cash (C2C), source-to-pay (S2P), and risk management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted business partner to the procurement and logistics leadership teams, supporting decision-making processes and driving financial performance improvement.

• Analyze spending trends and working capital balances to identify opportunities, compliance adherence, and standardization of processes.

• Monitor and track monthly, quarterly, and YTD KPI performance and conduct monthly business performance reviews.

• Perform and manage monthly accounting close and communicate results to the corporate finance team effectively, accurately, and timely in standardized formats.

• Manage the cash bank balance, bank account reconciliations, and risk management processes.

• Monitor adherence to SOX and internal control policies for all Treasury functions.

• Develop working capital forecasts for annual operating plans and ad hoc frequencies as necessary.

• Maintain and ensure data integrity in the ERP system through proper recording of all bank transactions, cash accounting review, and issue resolution.

• Lead processes for issuing customer credit, monitoring accounts receivable, and cash collection, including coordination and collaboration with the Commercial team.

• Support finance-led initiatives to drive finance performance improvement, compliance adherence, and standardization of processes.

• Manage the C2C, S2P, and risk management processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of accounting functions

• Proven expertise in Cash Flow Analysis

• Significant experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated abilities in Cash Collections and Cash Management

• Solid experience in Project Management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with Sage Software is a plus

• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
