Description

We are inviting applications for the role of Director of Purchasing and Procurement in the Real Estate & Construction industry. The position is based in WILKES-BARRE, Pennsylvania, 18702, United States. This role requires the incumbent to lead purchasing operations and bring efficiency to procurement and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage effective purchasing and contract management policies and procedures.

• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, service, and payment terms.

• Collaborate with various department and project managers to understand procurement needs and delivery requirements.

• Establish and manage relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and integrating new supply sources as required.

• Oversee purchasing processes to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

• Responsible for the procurement of heavy machinery, tools, vehicles, and construction equipment.

• Analyze market trends and leverage data analytics to enhance business operations.

• Oversee budget management for the supply chain and conduct cost forecasting.

• Monitor stock levels, delivery timelines, inventory levels, and report any disruptions in the supply chain.

Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field within the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Proven expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Prior experience in KPI Reporting and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic procurement decisions.

• Proficiency in Logistics, specifically within the context of the supply chain in the real estate and property industry.

• Experience in both Manufacturing and Construction sectors, with a specific focus on procurement processes.

• Understanding of construction cost and ability to manage procurement to stay within budget constraints.

• Familiarity with Supply Chain Logistics and the ability to optimize processes for efficiency.

• Strong skills in Supply Chain Management, with the ability to oversee all aspects from procurement to delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• Proficiency in using procurement software and other related IT systems.
