Robert Half Bookkeeper in Williamstown, Kentucky

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper, based in Williamstown, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with customers to ensure their needs are met. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy are essential. The position will be hybrid after training. Must be open to commuting into the office two days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action where needed

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of customer credit

• Ensure the timely and accurate entry of invoices for both accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct a physical count of the chemical inventory weekly, ensuring accurate records are kept

• Create purchase orders and carry out research on special parts required

• Bi-weekly processing of payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and punctuality

• Oversee the monthly close of accounts, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date

• Use Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data entry and bookkeeping tasks

• Replenish chemical inventory twice a month or as required, collaborating with the plant manager to ensure a smooth ordering process.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) to manage outgoing payments.

• Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) to oversee incoming payments.

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations to confirm the company's records match with the bank's records.

• Strong Bookkeeping skills to maintain organized and updated financial records.

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data.

• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures to ensure all financial data has been captured correctly.

• Knowledge of Payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software for managing financial tasks.
