Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Williamsville, New York

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in WILLIAMSVILLE, New York. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing the company's financial obligations by verifying, processing, and reconciling invoices promptly and accurately. This role is crucial in maintaining healthy vendor relationships and ensuring all outgoing payments are in line with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment

• Ensure invoices are properly coded and approved in line with company policies

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies

• Maintain and update vendor files and payment records

• Assist in month-end closing processes, including the preparation of reports

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues

• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing

• Use accounting software systems to streamline processes

• Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) duties. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Ceridian

• Proficient in using Concur

• Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Experience in Billing Functions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Relevant certifications in accounting would be advantageous

• Good understanding of financial and accounting regulations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
