Description
We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team for a direct hire position located in Willoughby, Ohio. This role involves providing administrative support to our accounting department, handling tasks such as invoice processing, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process invoices and match them with purchase orders
• Provide support to project managers to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain and update customer credit records in a timely manner
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various data entry and administrative tasks
• Apply understanding of cost accounting to manage financial tasks effectively
• Handle account payable activities and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
• Resolve customer inquiries and issues related to accounts and transactions
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status
• Collaborate with the team to process customer credit applications efficiently
• Maintain a high level of organization to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and discrepancies.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor management, invoice verification, and payment processing.
• Demonstrable skills in invoice processing, ensuring accuracy, and timely payments to avoid any penalties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets, create financial models, and generate reports.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in handling financial data.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role, such as an Accounting Clerk, is desirable.
