Robert Half Bankrupcty Paralegal in Wilmington, Delaware
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Bankruptcy Paralegal based in Wilmington, Delaware. The successful candidate will be part of a team that specializes in bankruptcy law, with a focus on Chapter 11 reorganizations. The role requires the candidate to provide comprehensive paralegal support, from case inception to resolution, ensuring exceptional service to our clients in both corporate and individual bankruptcy sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting and filing of legal documents, such as bankruptcy petitions, motions, pleadings in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code and local rules
• Conducting legal research to support case strategy and planning
• Coordinating with clients, creditors, trustees and other parties to facilitate the bankruptcy process
• Assisting attorneys in preparing and reviewing schedules of assets and liabilities, statement of financial affairs, and other required forms
• Maintaining and preparing case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures
• Tracking deadlines and filings, ensuring compliance with court schedules
• Assisting in the claims reconciliation process by reviewing creditor claims
• Drafting and filing monthly operating reports, plan of reorganization, and other documents required in the Chapter 11 process
• Communicating with clients to gather necessary information and providing status updates
• Attending hearings and assisting attorneys with trial preparation when necessary Requirements • Applicant must have at least 3 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal.
• Strong communication skills are required for this role.
• Proficiency in bankruptcy laws and procedures, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy creditor rights and bankruptcy code is essential.
• Experience with bankruptcy filings and business restructuring is a must.
• Knowledge and experience in paralegal work, particularly in court filings, is necessary.
• Ability to draft and prepare legal pleadings and memoranda is crucial.
• Experience in corporate legal matters and litigation paralegal tasks is required.
