Robert Half Bankruptcy Paralegal in Wilmington, Delaware

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bankruptcy Paralegal in the legal industry, based in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves providing high-quality administrative support to our bankruptcy department and interacting with various court personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Manage and update attorney calendars, ensuring all court dates and case-related deadlines are accurately logged

• Draft routine court documents such as pleadings and engagement letters for attorney review and approval

• Maintain communication with courtroom deputies, judicial assistants, law clerks, and other courtroom staff in bankruptcy, state, and federal district courts

• Execute electronic filing in Chancery Court, Bankruptcy Court, and District Court

• Administer the opening of new matters and closing of files as requested by attorneys

• Uphold accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Demonstrated competency in briefing and understanding of bankruptcy law

• Proven experience in working with bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 13

• Ability to represent both creditors and debtors in bankruptcy cases

• Familiarity with the litigation process as a paralegal

• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy filings and court filing procedures

• Experience with litigation filing, drafting pleadings, and legal pleadings

• Proficiency in e-filing and managing electronic files

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

• High degree of detail orientation and integrity

• Strong research and report writing skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

• Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of legal terminology and court system

• Paralegal certification is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related field is preferred
