Robert Half Bankruptcy Paralegal in Wilmington, Delaware
Description
We are in search of a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our law firm client's team in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, you will support our Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditor’s Rights practice group. Your main responsibilities will involve handling all aspects of bankruptcy cases, assisting in the analysis of due diligence materials, preparing and filing petitions, and corresponding with clients, creditors, and other interested parties.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all facets of bankruptcy cases, including client contact and attorney support
• Analyze due diligence materials regarding all aspects of a company's business operations
• Prepare and file legal petitions, resolutions, and pleadings
• Conduct research on precedents in first and second-day pleadings filed; familiarize yourself with local rules of various courts
• Communicate with clients, creditors, and other interested parties to resolve case issues
• Prepare information and exhibits for motions, applications, notices, memoranda, and proofs of claim
• Assist with the preparation of monthly fee statements and maintain professional fee spreadsheets
• Review and edit legal documents and exhibits, charts, and diagrams
• Maintain case calendars and working group lists
• Use e-filing systems to manage court cases and dockets
• Conduct bankruptcy searches on various databases and dockets results.
Requirements • Proficient in Case Management Software
• Strong skills in Calendar Management
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Bankruptcy Law including Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
• Familiarity with Bankruptcy - Creditor and Consumer Bankruptcy
• Proficient in using Electronic File, e-File and e-Filing systems
• Experience in handling Court Cases and Court Filing
• Familiarity with PACER system
• Knowledge in Civil Litigation
• Previous work experience as a Paralegal is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is preferred
• Paralegal certification is a plus
