Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Wilmington, Delaware. This role lies within the industry of customer service, where the selected individual will be responsible for managing customer service tasks, data entry, and order processing. The role will be based at our on-site location and will require proficiency in various skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email correspondence.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately format and upload customer manifests into the ePorts system, ensuring data consistency across all platforms.
• Manage real-time updates of inventory statuses and order fulfillment using various customer inventory systems.
• Effectively communicate with customers to determine specific pallets for pickup and provide timely updates related to orders and deliveries.
• Monitor the flow of goods through the supply chain for timely deliveries and coordinate with internal departments, customers, and third-party vendors to address logistical challenges.
• As needed, arrange and broker trucking services for the transfer of goods to customer warehouses and follow up on the status of all shipments to ensure smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve any concerns related to orders and deliveries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for data entry and order processing tasks.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls, providing excellent customer service.
• Schedule appointments as necessary, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate customer records and process customer credit applications.
Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related customer service environment
• Competency in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience in answering inbound calls and making outbound calls
• Familiarity with a call center customer service environment
• Proficiency in data entry and order entry tasks
• Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly
• Experience in scheduling appointments in an organized and efficient manner
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to continuously learn and improve skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments.
