Description
Join an esteemed law firm in Wilmington, DE, in a HYBRID role as a Client-Focused Mass Tort Paralegal and become an integral part of a dynamic legal team. They are open to candidates from Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey. Delaware law experience is not required. However, Federal case law experience, high volume litigation, and California experience are valuable. Organization, litigation experience, and high case volume will win the day.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison for clients and vendors, ensuring professional communication via phone and in-person interactions.
Manage all correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, using electronic and traditional mail systems for designated cases.
Track and relay messages efficiently to maintain seamless communication with clients throughout legal proceedings.
Maintain precise case calendars to facilitate effective case management and adherence to deadlines.
Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER to support case preparation and strategic planning.
Verify and ensure the accuracy of legal documents by conducting Bluebook, cite-checking, and proofreading to meet formatting and compliance standards.
Efficiently coordinate document productions and organize client documents to streamline case processes.
Prepare meticulously for and participate in deposition proceedings, overseeing court reporter retention and documentation maintenance.
Draft and submit various legal documents, including summons, complaints, and subpoenas, to the appropriate court entities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of experience in mass tort litigation, preferably with exposure to high-volume cases.
Strong litigation background, with familiarity in medical malpractice or personal injury cases, Multi-District Litigation (MDL), class actions, coordinated actions, and consolidated actions in state and federal court.
Ability to handle a heavy caseload of 300-400+ cases.
Proficiency in managing multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
