Description
Robert Half has partnered with a successful legal firm on their search for a Staff Accountant who can manage the financial health of the firm. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, monitoring expense reporting, preparing journal entries, assisting with bank reconciliations, and participating in the development and tracking of budgets. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Month End/Year End Close
· Prepare journal entries
· Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts
· Database Management
· Process ACH and credit card payments
· Expense Reporting
· Provide clerical support
· Ad hoc special projects as requested
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 1-3 years of accounting experience required
· Legal industry experience a huge plus
· Strong technical and analytical skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
