Description
Wilmington Delaware, not-for-profit, seeks an Accounting Manager with banking/credit union expertise. This candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring and accounting operations for the organization, which include but are not limited to: overseeing accounts payable/receivable transactions, assisting with the month/year-end close process, overseeing general ledger activities, review general ledger activities, preparing monthly financial reports, prepare and manage corporate budgets and forecasts, and analyzing variances. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multitask while meeting critical deadlines.

· Maintain general ledger accounts
· Account Reconciliation
· Manage month-end/year-end audits
· Review monthly accruals
· Processing accounting adjustments
· Prepare financial statements/reports
· Assist with mortgage settlement processing
· Process Improvement Initiatives
· Coordinate annual audit process
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:
· 3+ years of banking/credit union experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent communication skills
· Light travel required
