Description
Growing client within the construction industry seeks an Assistant Controller with previous experience writing accounting memos, monitoring credit card fees, and reviewing subscription service fees. In this role, you will be responsible for creating annual budgets, overseeing the month end close process, providing variance analysis, expense forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, facilitating training and development opportunities, tax planning, and overseeing the integration of acquisitions into accounting systems. The ideal Assistant Controller for this role must have knowledge of GAAP, current industry trends, and excellent auditing skills.
Your responsibilities
· Oversee the daily cash flow process
· Prepare financial packages
· Coordinate the quarter, month, year-end process
· Budgeting & Forecasting
· Design and implement effective internal controls
· Account Reconciliation
· Prepare financial statements
· Implement process improvement where needed
· Prepare financial audits and review with external auditors
Requirements
The ideal Assistant Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
Other requirements for the Assistant Controller role include and are not limited to:
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
5+ years of Supervisory experience required
CPA preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Proficiency in accounting software
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
