Robert Half Finance is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Controller to join the ranks at a well-respected company in the Healthcare Industry. This is a leadership role with responsibility over an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Winchester, Kentucky region.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations

  • Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

  • Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

  • Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties

  • Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

  • Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient

    Requirements - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Financial auditing experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Annual Financial Plan experience

  • Strong familiarity with general ledger

  • Knowledge of Annual Budget

  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
