Robert Half Operations Supervisor in Winchester, Kentucky

Description We are in the manufacturing industry, located in Winchester, Kentucky, and we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the daily operations of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that production goals are met while maximizing overall operational performance.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, and coordinating production activities to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity, developing production schedules, monitoring progress, and making adjustments as needed to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Analysing production processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize workflow and minimize waste.

• Developing and enforcing quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits, and collaborating with quality control teams to address any issues or non-compliance.

• Overseeing inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Monitoring inventory accuracy, implementing inventory control measures, and optimizing stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses.

• Providing leadership and guidance to operations employees. Recruiting, training, and supervising staff, setting performance goals, and conducting performance evaluations. Fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.

• Developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and providing training to employees on safety procedures. Striving to create a culture of safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices. Implementing waste management programs, monitoring emissions, and promoting environmental stewardship within the operations.

• Overseeing operations maintenance activities, including equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Collaborating with maintenance teams to develop maintenance schedules, ensuring the availability of spare parts, and minimizing downtime.

• Driving a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, implementing new technologies, and adopting best practices. Staying updated on industry trends and developments to enhance operations and achieve operational excellence. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a supply chain management role

• Proficiency in inventory management, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet production needs

• Demonstrated experience in supervisory management, leading teams and coordinating tasks efficiently

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate supply chain processes and implement improvements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments

• Familiarity with supply chain software and tools for effective management

• Ability to strategize and plan ahead, foreseeing future supply chain needs

• Proven track record in negotiation and networking with vendors and suppliers

• Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance related to supply chain management

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
