This position requires an experienced Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant. Robert Half Technology is seeking candidates in the Cary, NC area to join an existing team working onsite with a local client as a Senior Project Manager. You will be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. Key responsibilities

  • Coordinates schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

  • Follows and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Leads project planning

  • Amasses facts from business analysts, technical leads, and QA leads into references

  • Engages and communicates with designers, technical team members, developers, and stakeholders

  • Supervises deployment scheduling in coordination with Dev Ops, tech lead, and Product Owner

  • Sustain the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

  • Collaborates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap

  • Plans the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

  • Sets forth project with accurate ticket workflows and boards

  • Work in close cooperation with the QA Manager, Product Specialist, Product Owner/Product Manager, and Business Analyst

  • Fosters help to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

  • Works with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Registers and controls the sprint planning and grooming meetings and trails ticket assignments

  • Manages the daily stand-ups, securing they are timely, brief, and focused

  • Associates with Product Owner/Product Manager to make sure that the product vision and high-level business objectives are unmistakable and attainable

  • Present detailed reporting to management on risk assessment, project status, and milestone completion

  • Operates as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - ensuring the team is working effectively, leading scrum ceremonies, and clearing obstacles

  • Verify that the functional requirements are tracked, met, and achievable

  • Be of help to classify, manage, identify risk for functional improvement requests

    Requirements - Candidates who are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies will be preferred

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant Project Management experience

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

    • This position will be the best fit for a candidate with experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

    • This position requires proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Foundational knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Command of Agile SDLC

  • Solid understanding of PMP Certification

  • Risk Mitigation Strategies experience

  • Proficiency in SDLC Methodology

  • Project management knowledge, along with strong operation and project management skills

    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
