In this Controller role, your responsibilities will include process management to ensure models are correct and fully accrued each month, as well as the verifying and holding operations team accountable that end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting, and related financial controls are operating effectively. The Controller position is a long-term contract / temporary engagement located in Windsor, California.
How you will make an impact
Collation of evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs to support SOX controls
Collaborate with various business partners for a variety of program controllership and FP& A activities such as upholding accurate accrual models and appropriate accounting, as well as true-up activities. Also answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers
Analyze and observe controls to ensure they are effectively designed and operating in partnership with compliance
Lead all processes of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all accountable programs
Collaborate with the Treasury to provide timely cash flow forecasts
Acquire understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners
Ongoing review of actual spend against budget and direct necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls
Attain a thorough understanding of essential financial results and movements across programs, then be able to summarize and discuss them with key business partners Requirements - Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Adeptness in NetSuite
Deep understanding of GAAP Accounting
Manufacturing Equipment experience preferred
Foundational knowledge in US GAAP
Financial Control experience highly desired
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
- CPA and/or CMA preferred
Proven communication and negotiation skills, ability to establish trusted advisor/consultant relationships, and capability to influence Executives and Business Decision Makers
ERP system knowledge required
Prior background in engaging virtually with teams around the globe and providing leadership across finance teams
5+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
Implement and improve changes in procedures immediately
Exemplary knowledge in office and accounting computer systems
