The Internal Auditor opportunity, which is located in Winsted, Connecticut, is a permanent role. What you get to do every single day
Efficiently relay project status to members of the team
Perform regular follow-up on both open and past due internal audit and SOX observations
Help map and record processes to pinpoint top risks and integrity controls
Assist in organizing third-party compliance assessments and audits
Execute internal audits and SOX testing; to comply with policies and procedures and assess the design and operating effectiveness of the internal control structure
Conduct special research and projects as needed
Record test results and provide support for an objective and informed opinion of the risk exposure
Help develop a variety of audit programs by setting the objective, scope, and work program of individual audits
Develop detailed audit observations and recommendations to management both verbally and in writing

Requirements - Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
Prior experience with operational and financial audits is highly desired
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications
Strong familiarity with Operating Procedure
Manufacturing experience
Internal Control experience preferred
Policies & procedures experience
Audit Compliance experience desired
Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)
3+ years of public audit or consulting experience; corporate internal audit experience also acceptable
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
