Robert Half Instructional Designer in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Description
A leader of technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace industry is looking for an Instructional Designer to join their team. Under general supervision of the Learning and Development Manager, the Instructional Designer will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to redesign instructor-led training materials and optimize learning.
Duration: 6-Month contract
Location: REMOTE (EST hours)
Pay Rate: $30-35/hour
Responsibilities:
Partner with functional leaders to identify performance and development needs and recommend training solutions.
Communicate the development and progress of the redesigned course materials to the Learning and Development Manger.
Work with SMEs to leverage a variety of learning development tools.
Build relationships with stakeholders and SME in analyzing training needs
Develop training that utilizes a blended learning approach including instructor led simulation, web-based and e-learning.
Update and improve content on new systems in a fast paced and changing environment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree
2 years of experience designing and developing instructor led live and virtual and elearning technical / software training
Experience with Articulate 360 and Storyline
Excellent time management organizational and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Ability to apply adult learning theory into relevant and engaging learning experiences for instructor-led training
Excellent grammar and spelling required
Mastery in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Work samples required
Preferred Qualifications:
4 years of experience designing and developing technical and/or software training live and virtual
Intermediate proficiency in SharePoint administration
Experience with Captivate and Camtasia
Experience with LMS administration and content management
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and fact-based decision-making abilities
Demonstrates effective interpersonal influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting
