Applications Support Administrator
Reports to: IT Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position is responsible for maintaining the Zendesk customer support portal for new products by handling all issues and inquiries. This position requires a background with e-commerce and cryptocurrency.
Routine IT Functions
Oversees all customer support requests via Zendesk Help Desk.
Process all customer product returns and replacement through e-commerce.
Acts as the liaison between internal departments and external e-commerce and payment services.
Provides reports as needed to senior leadership team and developers to track product issues.
Maintain the product knowledgebase on Zendesk to keep all solutions current.
Develops new workflows on Zendesk as required.
Other Important Responsibilities:
Handle related email and telephone correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
Responds to inquiries for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Experience with e-commerce, cryptocurrency, or Zendesk required.
High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office applications.
High level of mobile device and development literacy (e.g. iOS, Android, and java).
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work.
Excellent time management skills.
Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load
Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative and innovative.
Excellent problem solving skills.
This position is a hybrid position located in Somerset County, NJ.
1+ years of experience in application development, software design, and architecture.
Excellent understanding of database design.
BA/BS in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
Comfortable learning new technologies related to the Web and application development.
Ability to document issues and proposed improvements while evaluating an existing architecture
Understanding of common software development languages is preferred.
Knowledge in threading, asynchronous event handling, data binding, scripting and query languages/tools.
Must be able to work independently and lead small teams.
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Consulting experience with business analysis, data management, system architecture, and distributed technologies.
Ability to decompose and prioritize components of large systems.
Experience with creating realistic plans, goals, and aligning plans with company goals, managing resources, and creating contingency plans.
Experience with creating, debugging, securing, testing, and optimizing code for multiple web-based applications and services.
5+ years of experience in team management in a related field.
