In WOODBRIDGE (Middlesex County) NJ | Fully Remote Position: Our client - rapidly growing insurance service provider of specialty programs for commercial insurance brokers and carriers (providing underwriting, distribution, product management, administration, and risk management services and partnering with the best A-rated / trusted, national network ) - is searching for a Claims Counsel / Attorney, with Medical Professional Liability experience, to join the team on a contract/project and fully remote basis. The ideal candidate for this role will bring at least three (3+) years of exposure managing and litigating healthcare claims (either in-house or law firm based) and be comfortable handling the regulatory matters arising out of policies issued by this companies inter-insurance exchange. Position includes: enforcement of litigation guidelines, management of claims within pre-existing litigation protocols, discussing claims with appointed panel counsel and review of relevant pleadings, medical records and other documents accordingly. The ideal candidate for this role will be barred in NJ / bring NJ based exposure and be comfortable working remotely in a high-volume / high paced environment. Position is long-term contract, with full 35-40 hour work week (during business day, EST) expectation. REQUIRED / IDEAL SKILLSET
Admittance (active/good standing) to NJ bar OR significant experience dealing with med mal cases in NJ
Clear exposure to Medical Professional Liability litigation matters (whether in-house or law firm based)
Familiarity with healthcare claims and the related regulatory matters.
Solid at-home / work from home work set up (stable WiFi, etc.)
Availability for true "40 hour" work week (true accessibility during business hours, etc.)
