Our client, a "single family office" is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investment accounting, bill paying, and overall household fiscal management. This role is essential in ensuring the financial well-being and efficient operation of the family’s financial affairs. This opportunity is located in Nassau County, New York and is perfect for a professional seeking to reenter the work force on a PART TIME basis

Responsibilities:

• Handle all investment accounting tasks for a high net worth individual

• Maintain accurate records of all tangible assets

• Perform investment analysis as required

• Manage expenses and other household income issues

• Ensure proper accounting for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries

• Oversee the management of investment accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in handling Investment Accounts

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
