Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Woodland Hills, California

Description

We are on the hunt for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. In this HYBRID role, you will be tasked with providing support in the biweekly processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with reporting and auditing procedures, and assisting in the administration of payroll functions. This position involves engaging with various accounting software systems and requires a solid understanding of accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Payroll Manager in the biweekly processing of payroll and associated required reports.

• Support the Payroll Manager in maintaining compliance with reporting and auditing procedures.

• Utilize HR systems to develop and run ad hoc payroll reports.

• Assist in the distribution of Payroll and Company Communication as required.

• Provide payroll data and documents as required for employee data requests, legal actions, or litigation.

• Support the Payroll Manager in the administration of 401k plan and on-going compliance.

• Assist employees with payroll and time-off related questions.

• Assist in auditing employee data in the HR system on an ongoing basis.

• Process manual checks/special runs as needed.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System.

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Check Processing.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Familiarity with Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System is desirable.

• Experience working with 'About Time' software is beneficial.

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is necessary.

• Knowledge in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

• Experience with Benefit Functions is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Check Processing is essential.

• Candidates must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• A strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations is required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
