Robert Half Security Network Engineer in Woodland Hills, California
Description
We are looking for a Security Network Engineer to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the overall technical direction of our IT infrastructure within the mortgage industry. You will participate in technical research and development to enable continual innovation within the infrastructure, ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to our organizational values and policies.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director of Security and Infrastructure to assess and recommend technologies that support company needs.
• Conduct research and case studies on leading-edge technologies, making determinations on their implementation.
• Monitor technology and social trends that could impact the company.
• Direct the development, maintenance, and execution of a company-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers.
• Participate in the development and execution of a company-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
• Plan, acquire, and coordinate the installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s network.
• Manage and ensure the effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software.
• Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
• Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
• Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in AD.
• Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Document and monitor licensing requirements and deployment.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or a combination of these skills
• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA.
• Demonstrable skills in Cisco Technologies and EO/IR systems.
• Experience in AB Testing, Checkpoint Firewall, and Configuration Management.
• Must have worked on Deployments and Design in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks and Juniper systems.
• Familiarity with VMware, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office 365.
• Must have experience with Juniper
• Ability to work in a team and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
