As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient at analyzing information. This full-time position comes with a strong compensation and benefits package, as well as the chance of growth. This Senior Accountant role is located in Woodland Hills, California within the Real Estate & Property field.

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives

  • Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Solid understanding of month end closings

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
