Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Audio Visual Technician in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role primarily focuses on the operation and maintenance of audiovisual/multimedia equipment, with a focus on ensuring smooth operations for classes and presentations. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team in the multimedia industry, delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a range of audiovisual/multimedia equipment including projectors, TV/DVD, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and sound mixers.
• Install audiovisual/multimedia equipment in classrooms and meeting rooms to facilitate classes and presentations.
• Carry out video recording and photography for events and presentations as required.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on audiovisual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Resolve issues with audiovisual equipment and make informed decisions on whether equipment should be repaired or replaced.
• Utilize skills in Audio Visual, Multimedia, Film Editing, and Image Editing to enhance the quality of presentations and events.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and report any damages or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of audiovisual/multimedia equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest audiovisual equipment and technology.
• Ensure all audiovisual/multimedia equipment is properly stored and secured when not in use. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Audio Visual technician.
• Must possess skills in Audio Visual, Multimedia, Film Editing, and Image Editing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio and visual equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the latest audio/visual technologies and media formats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to keep up-to-date with advancements in audio/visual technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in film, media or relevant field is a plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
