Robert Half HR Coordinator in Yellow Springs, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator for a university based in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The HR Coordinator will primarily focus on managing HR data, coordinating various HR activities, and responding to HR-related inquiries. This role provides a unique opportunity to work within the education industry and contribute to the smooth operation of HR functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage HR data, including the entry of adjunct teacher details into the HRIS system

• Coordinate the dispatch of appointment letters for new hires and existing faculty members

• Ensuring the accuracy of appointment letters and tracking their return

• Assist in the implementation of employee salary increases

• Send reminders to employees to enter their time and run reports to verify time entry

• Address any issues related to time entry in consultation with the relevant manager

• Engage in thorough data entry tasks and generate reports to verify the accuracy of HR data

• Manage new hire paperwork and ensure its proper entry into the HRIS system

• Conduct I9 verification and ensure all necessary paperwork is collected from employees

• Respond promptly and professionally to HR-related emails

• Use tools such as Google, spreadsheets, and HRIS systems to perform tasks

• Understand payroll processes and adapt to shifting priorities as needed.

Requirements • Proficiency in using HRIS Systems

• Demonstrated experience in Data Entry

• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Experience in Onboarding new employees

• Familiarity with Mail Merge process

• Ability to generate reports as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within a university setting

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
