Description Job Title: Payroll Specialist Location: Westchester, New York Job Type: permanent Company Description: We are a rapidly growing company, with a dedicated team committed to providing superior quality services. As part of our continued expansion, we are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Payroll Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a vibrant and supportive team, in a role that's integral to our company's success. Job Responsibilities: Processing bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Preparing and processing manual payroll checks as necessary. Assisting employees with payroll inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. Preparing and submitting union dues and maintaining union contracts. Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year-end closings. Running and reviewing payroll reports to ensure accuracy. Keeping accurate records and preparing and updating payroll procedures. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Preparing and distributing direct deposit notices to employees.

Requirements Qualifications: Previous experience in payroll or a related field. Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary. Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
