Description The expanding accounting department at Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Accountant. In this role, you will enter data, review financial statements, and create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. If you have an aptitude for Excel, a positive attitude, and a desire to work in an entry-level accounting position, then this position could be the perfect fit. Based in York, Pennsylvania, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.
Major responsibilities
Preparing monthly journal entries
Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Log data
Analyzing and adjusting account discrepancies
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits Requirements
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
High attention to detail
An AA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested
Journal entries experience
Strong familiarity with Adjusting Journal Entries
Proven knowledge of financial analysis
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
General Journal experience required
Experience with general ledger
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Excellent data entry skills
2+ years of accounting experience
High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
