Robert Half Accounts Payable Representative: I (Junior) in Yuma, Colorado

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Yuma, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the Accounts Payable function within our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in customer service, office functions, documentation, and answering inbound calls. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process various Accounts Payable tasks efficiently

• Track and document receipt of data and source documents for entry

• Prepare and interpret data to be entered into the Accounts Payable System

• Resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data by contacting the source document preparers

• Ensure accuracy of data entered into the Accounts Payable System and make necessary corrections

• Contribute to team efforts to achieve results

• Perform general clerical duties, such as typing, scanning, copying, answering phones, filing, etc.

• Support business unit customers and vendors throughout the entire procure-to-pay process

• Seek process improvement efficiencies and understand corporate structures, business contacts, and stakeholders

• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and principles

• Strong customer service skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with vendors and stakeholders

• Experience with office functions, including filing, scanning, and performing data entry tasks

• Familiarity with hiring processes and workstation support will be advantageous

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in handling and answering inbound calls professionally

• Ability to perform clerical duties with attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in typing and documentation

• Knowledge of finance principles, coding, and process improvement techniques

• Ability to lead special projects and work onsite as required

• Comfortable with working with different business units within the organization

• Proficient in using 'About Time' software or similar timekeeping systems

• Experience in handling missing invoices and receipt documentation

• Familiarity with basic statistical analysis

• Ability to work with various stakeholders in a professional manner

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

• Experience in using different business software for data entry and record-keeping.
