Are you seeking a position for a Payroll Manager in the Zelienople, Pennsylvania area? Robert Half is seeking professional candidates for an interim Project Manager role. This Payroll Manager will be responsible for all aspects of payroll operations, including vendor management, systems, and processes & integration. You will also be asked to allot time for creating timely, accurate, and compliant payrolls, making improvements to currently existing processes, and creating exceptional customer experiences. What you get to do every single day

  • Produce internal safeguards by overseeing record keeping and control systems

  • Manage payroll staff and operations

  • Oversee internal and external audits

  • Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis

  • Enhance current processes by suggesting, leading, and working on a range of projects

  • Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies

  • Relay information and data to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and reply to any questions

  • Track financial trends by executing payroll analysis

  • Form and grow a team and guide it to success

  • Collaborate with other members of senior Finance leadership team

  • Work on weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to interpreting pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and making sure accurate amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws

    Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with payroll

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience required

  • Human Resources (HR) Administration experience highly desired

  • Deep understanding of Paycom

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll

  • Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification beneficial

  • Comfortable with payroll applications

  • To be successful in this position, you need to have strong interpersonal skills

  • If you have sound knowledge of payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions, you are probably a good fit for this position
