Description
We're seeking a Senior Accountant for an exciting contract-to-hire role based in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. In this vital position, you'll be responsible for employee payroll management, daily accounting tasks, and monthly financial audit reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing of weekly payroll for hourly and union employees. • Rectifying discrepancies between the time clock and timesheets. • Updating and maintaining Zelienople Production and Non-Standard production records in the accounting system. • Recording the PO Receipt of raw materials in the accounting system. • Carrying out month-end activities, including entries, calculations, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Gathering data to analyze monthly operational costs and variances. • Collaborating in the development of cost standards and setting standard costs for manufactured products. • Preparing various tracking reports for items such as inventory and raw materials. • Filling in for the AP/AR Accounting Clerk as needed, including processing quarterly tax reports. • Processing weekly tax withholding and deduction reports and undertaking balancing and reconciliation responsibilities.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficiency in General Ledger and Journal Entries is required
• Demonstrated experience with Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must
• Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close process is necessary
• Familiarity with using NetSuite is expected
• Experience with Weekly Payroll is desirable
• Knowledge of Cognos is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Attention to detail and accuracy is expected
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Should be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required
• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Continual learning and development in accounting principles is expected.
